3 arrested in connection to gang-related abduction of missing Fairfax County teen

Fairfax County police said they have arrested three people connected to the disappearance of a missing 18-year-old that appears to be associated to gang activity.

Miguel Angel Ruiz Carrillo was reported missing by his family after he was last seen on August 3. Police said he is believed to be endangered after he was last seen in a wooded area near the end of Pole Road at Pondside Terrace.

According to Carrillo's mother, her son was last seen fishing at a pond when witnesses say they saw him being attacked by a group of men. Carrillo's mother said he had a cellphone on him, but he has not answered their calls.

Investigators were seen last week conducting a search for Carillo near the pond and the wooded area.

Police said it has since been determined that Carrillo was associated with gang activity, but he has not been located.

On Monday, police announced they have charged 20-year-old Jose Vincent-Sosa, 18-year-old Edwin Dinarte Moreno and a female juvenile with abduction and gang participation.

Police did not give further details on what their connection is to Carrillo.
