2 people shot, killed in NE DC

WASHINGTON - Police are investigating a fatal double shooting in Northeast D.C. Thursday afternoon.

According to police, they received several calls at around 1 p.m. about a shooting on 58th Street. When officers arrived, they found a man dead inside a home. Another man was taken to the hospital, but was later pronounced dead.

Police are searching for a suspect described as a black male standing about 6' tall with shoulder length dreadlocks.

Police said they do not know if the suspect left in a vehicle or fled on foot from the area.

Authorities have closed 58th Street in both directions.
