2 people killed in Gaithersburg multi-vehicle crash

GAITHERSBURG, Md. - Authorities say two people have died after a multiple vehicle accident in Gaithersburg Monday night.

The fatal collision happened at Airpark Road near Antares Drive at around 8 p.m. There were four vehicles involved with one of them overturning after the crash, fire officials said.

Investigators believe one of the vehicles traveling southbound on Airpark Road veered into oncoming traffic and collided with two other vehicles. A fourth vehicle would later end up crashing at the scene. One of the victims was ejected from their vehicle.

According to officials, the victims killed in the crash were both adult males driving in their respective vehicles.

Airpark Road was closed between Woodfield Road and Muncaster Mill Road after the accident and reopened early Tuesday morning.
