2 men shot at apartment complex in DC

Two men were shot at an apartment complex in the District on Thursday, according to officials.

They were shot at the Second Northwest Cooperative Homes in the 400 block of N Street, NW, at around 4:55 p.m. The victims ended up being located in the 400 block of M Street, NW, police said. Several shell casings were found in the parking lot.

Authorities said the men were conscious and breathing, and they were transported to area hospitals for treatment.

At some point, three suspects bolted off in a car and drove to the 1500 block of 4th Street and ended up crashing into a parked car nearby a mosque, which is about a two blocks away from the shooting. Police say the suspects took off on foot, but they were able to take two of them into custody. However, the third suspect remains at-large.
