Police have arrested two girls for the stabbing of a 14-year-old girl on an X2 Metrobus in D.C., officials say.
The teenage victim was stabbed on the bus outside of the Minnesota Avenue Metro station on Monday afternoon following an argument with the two suspects that escalated into a physical altercation. Metro Transit Police say the three knew each other.
Police say the two juvenile suspects have been charged with assault with intent to kill, felony assault and weapons charges.
The victim suffered non-life-threatening laceration injuries. She was taken to the hospital where she was treated and released, police say.
