2 injured after early morning crash in Mechanicsville

MECHANICSVILLE, Md. (FOX 5 DC) - A crash in St. Mary's County left two people injured early Wednesday morning.

The crash happened at the intersection of Three Notch Road and Baptist Church Road in Mechanicsville around 5 a.m.

An image from the Mechanicsville Volunteer Fire Department showed a truck and an unoccupied bus involved in the crash. The fire department said one person was air lifted to a local trauma center and a second was transported to a local hospital.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
