16-year-old girl from Germantown located safe

GERMANTOWN, Md. (FOX 5 DC) - UPDATE 1/07/19: Police say Alyndia Williams has been located safe and unharmed.

Police are asking for help finding a missing 16-year-old girl last seen before the new year in Germantown.

Officers say Alyndia Williams was last seen around 9:00 a.m. on December 27 at her home on Chalet Drive. Police say they she has been in contact with family members by cell phone but will not reveal her whereabouts.

Williams is described by police as 5-feet-6-inches tall and weighing 115 pounds. She has brown eyes and long hair that has been dyed red and was last seen wearing a black hoodie, black sweatpants, and Nike sandals.
