1 person dead after struck by Metro train in Suitland; Green Line service restored after delays
SUITLAND, Md. - A person is dead after they were struck by a train along Metro's Green Line in Suitland Wednesday. The incident was reported around 5:30 a.m.
Train service was shut down between Branch Avenue and Southern Avenue through the morning rush hour. Shuttle buses were put into place between these stations.
Service was restored just before 11 a.m.
Authorities say no passengers were on the train at the time of the accident.
