Thursday won't be a washout by any means, Mike says, but as the heat and humidity build into the afternoon storm chances grown. While most should stay dry, spotty showers and thunderstorms could move into the region sometime after 3 p.m. and later into the evening. Some areas could experience heavy downpours at times.

Friday temperatures are expected to be around 85 degrees with a better chance for storms. The weekend temperatures should stay in the mid to upper 80s with scattered storms possible.
