Much-needed rain to arrive in DMV Wednesday morning, heavy rain expected during evening commute
WASHINGTON (FOX 5 DC) - Rain is in the forecast today but it will not dampen the spirits of anyone who watched the Nationals sweep the Cardinals last night to secure their first trip to the World Series!
Much needed rain looks to arrive during mid to late morning, and possibly sooner south and west of D.C.
The steadier rain should be here around noon and there may even be a rumble of thunder.
The rain looks heaviest along and east of Interstate 95 where 1 to 2" of rain may fall.
The evening commute is likely to be impacted by the most significant rain we've seen here since late summer so extra time and patience may be needed.
Rain should end across much of the metro area by late evening.
Temperatures today will also be cooler and should range from 60-65.
