Heat, humidity continues Tuesday with heat index in upper-90s; showers, storms possible

Tuesday will be the fourth day in a row with temperatures at or above 90 degrees as our late spring heat wave rolls on.

It was tough to cool off last night thanks to the humidity, so most places are at or above 70 degrees as early as sunrise and it will feel a few degrees warmer than that.

We will likely see some thunderstorms develop this afternoon and evening and any shower or storm will be capable of producing heavy rain thanks to the muggy atmosphere. High temperatures will range from the mid-80s north and west to the low-90s.

The heat wave should break later this week but we will have daily chances for thunderstorms through the workweek.
