WASHINGTON - It's officially a heat wave as Monday's record-tying 98 degrees was our third day in a row at or above 90 degree.

It's officially a heat wave as Monday's record-tying 98 degrees was our third day in a row at or above 90 degree. Tuesday will be day four as we expect temperatures to climb into the mid-90s again. Oppressive humidity will make it feel like 100 degrees so pace yourself outside.

We also expect to track more scattered storms any time after 2 p.m. Tuesday. A few storms may range from strong to severe with damaging wind gusts possibly being the biggest threat. The storm activity will wind down after 9 p.m.
