Redskins rookies stuck with $22K tab after taking veteran players out to dinner

The Redskins celebrated their bye week with an annual rite of passage - the rookie dinner.

This year, several defensive rookies, including Deshazor Everett, Corey Crawford, Preston Smith, and Kyshoen Jarrett, took the defensive veterans out to eat at Mastro's Steakhouse in downtown D.C.

So how much does a bill like that cost? Oh - just a cool twenty-two-thousand dollars! $22,000! $22K! Twenty-two one-thousand dollar bills!

$22,159.04 to be exact - including $10 for two Shirley Temples and an almost $3000 tip!

Luckily, paying the tab for rookie dinners only happens once in your career.

We were told the rookies split the bill - and you can be sure they will have plenty of time to work up their appetites for next year's feast!
