Nationals try to extend NLCS lead over Cardinals in Game 3

After no-hit bids into the late innings helped the Nationals take a 2-0 lead over the Cardinals in the National League Championship Series, postseason star Stephen Strasburg takes the mound for Washington in Game 3.

Monday's game -- the first NLCS game ever to be played at Nationals Park -- will get started at 7:38 p.m. St. Louis is sending 23-year-old Jack Flaherty to the mound to face off against Strasburg.

So far so good for the Nationals as the Cardinals have just four hits and one run through the first two games. And here's a stat Nationals fans will love -- teams that have taken a 2-0 lead on the road in a best-of-seven series have gone on to win 88 percent of the time in MLB history!

Believe it or not -- a few tickets were still available online for purchase early Monday morning. If you do decide to go -- Metro will be extending its operating hours. The Navy Yard-Ballpark Station will remain open for 20 minutes after the end of the game for fans.

Wear your long sleeved shirt and jacket if you're going to the ballpark. FOX 5's Mike Thomas says temperatures at first pitch will be around 65 degrees with temperatures falling to 57 degrees by the time the game is over.
