MLB All-Star Weekend: Metro info, street closures and parking restrictions

As the District prepares to host the MLB All-Star Game, here's everything you need to know about street closures, parking restrictions and the Metro leading up to the event.

METRO :

WMATA announced that Metro would be suspending all work on its tracks to avoid single tracking over the weekend. For Monday, July 16, and Tuesday, July 17, Metro announced that Mastercard and Major League Baseball teamed up to sponsor late-night rail service.

Fans attending the Home Run Derby on Monday or the All-Star Game on Tuesday should know that the last trains will depart the Navy Yard station at 12:22 a.m. in the direction of Greenbelt and 12:48 a.m. in the direction of Branch Avenue or 30 minutes after the end of the events, whichever is later.

During the extra-service period, only the Navy Yard station will be available for entry while all other stations will be exit only.

Closed approximately from 12 p.m. on Friday, July 13, 2018 - Wednesday, July 18, until 6 a.m.:

- First Street, SE from M Street, SE to Potomac Avenue, SE - Southbound Traffic

- Potomac Avenue, SE from First Street, SE to South Capitol Street, SE - Westbound Traffic

- Van Street, SE from M Street, SE to N Street

- Half Street, SE from M Street, SE to N Street

- N Street, SE from South Capitol Street, SE to New Jersey Avenue

- N Place, SE from First Street, SE to the DC Water Facility Entrance

2018 MLB All-Star Color Run 5K

The following roads will be closed during the below listed times on Saturday, July 14:

- First Street from M Street to N Street, SW from 3 a.m. to 4 p.m.

- First Street from N Street to Potomac Ave, SW from 3 a.m. to 12 p.m.

- South Capitol Street (Fredrick Douglas Memorial Bridge) (Northwest lanes only)

- Anacostia Drive South Capitol Street on-ramp to Good Hope Road SE from 6 a.m. to 12 p.m.

- Good Hope Road (Anacostia Drive to Running Path) from 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

- 11th Street Bridge (Southbound lanes) from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.

PARKING RESTRICTIONS :

The following emergency no parking will be in effect from 6 a.m. on Thursday, July 12 through Wednesday, July 18, until 12 p.m.:

- 7th Street, NW from Mt. Vernon Place, NW to N Street

- 9th Street, NW from Mt. Vernon Place, NW to N Street

Residents with issued DDOT placards, MLB All-Star attendee with parking garage passes, MLB All-Star official vehicles and verifiable business deliveries will be permitted to enter the complex at First and M Streets, SE only.

The following streets will have emergency no parking in effect from 6 a.m. on Thursday, July 12 through Wednesday, July 18, until 6 a.m.:

- First Street, SE from M Street, SE to Potomac Avenue

- Potomac Avenue, SE from First Street, SE to South Capitol Street

- Van Street, SE from M Street, SE to N Street
