Kalyn Norwood

Kalyn Norwood is a freelance host and reporter at FOX 5 DC, bringing more than a decade of experience as a journalist.

She joined FOX 5 in March 2026 after serving as a national White House correspondent, where she covered both the Trump and Biden administrations. Her reporting aired daily on television stations across the country, including in Boston, Baltimore, and Orlando. She regularly attended White House press briefings, traveled aboard Air Force One, and questioned top U.S. leaders, including the President, Vice President, and Cabinet officials.

Whether reporting live from the field or interviewing influential leaders, Kalyn is committed to asking meaningful questions, telling compelling stories, and helping audiences better understand the issues shaping their communities.

Before covering national politics in Washington, Kalyn built her career as a local news anchor and reporter, earning a regional Emmy Award and multiple nominations along the way. Her reporting experience spans television markets across the country, including Austin, Texas; Albuquerque, New Mexico; and Eugene, Oregon.

Kalyn earned a bachelor's degree in Broadcast & Digital Journalism from the University of Southern California and a Master of Business Administration from Rice University. She was born and raised in Dallas, Texas.
