Young boy dies in Lorton house fire

A young boy and two family pets have died after a house fire in Lorton, Virginia Tuesday night.

Around 5:10 p.m. the Fairfax County Fire Department reported that there was a fire in the garage of a house in the 8100 block of Arcade Street.

Later that evening Fairfax County Police announced they were conducting a death investigation at the same house.

Four adults, three men and one female, were also transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to officials.

Homicide and Crime Scene detectives responded to the scene and are actively working the investigation in conjunction with the Fairfax County Fire Marshal's Office.
