Wife of Waka Flocka sues Maryland design duo D&A Design

WASHINGTON (FOX 5 DC) -- The Maryland design duo known as D&A Design is accused of scamming homeowners out of tens of thousands of dollars and now they're being sued by Tammy Rivera, who is the wife of rapper Waka Flocka.

Rivera filed the lawsuit in Georgia after she claims D&A Design, which is run by Dereky and Al Hagler, failed to complete their work and deliver furniture.

"A Lot of the furniture that our client ordered was not delivered until after a notice of termination was given," Rivera's attorney Charles Graham told FOX 5. "It's almost as if they delivered the furniture to try to cover themselves."

Joe Grimes and Tiffany Veney, a Maryland couple, said they were out thousands of dollars after D&A Design failed to complete their job. After FOX 5 reported that Grimes and Veney were suing D&A Design, the attorney for the company said they would soon file a defamation suit against the family.

FOX 5 looked into the court records of the company, and they show Al Hagler was found guilty of acting as a contractor without a license back in 2013, as well as being charged with theft of money.

Within 24 hours of when FOX 5's original report was posted on June 13, at least four other individuals contacted us claiming they too were defrauded out of good and services by D&A Designs.

FOX 5 has attempted to reach out to the lawyers of D&A Designs about Rivera's lawsuit and have not yet heard back.
