After a week of strong storms and intense rain, Friday and the weekend look hot and mostly dry. FOX 5's Mike Thomas says we've had about six inches of rain so far this July making for a very wet start to the month.

Temperatures will be warm to start the day Friday with the possibility of a passing shower to the south and west of D.C. during the early afternoon hours. Highs around 90 degrees are expected later in the day.

Saturday and Sunday both look sunny and hot with high temperatures around 91 degrees for both days. A spotty storm may move our direction on Sunday. Hit-and-miss storms are expected into the middle of next week with remnants of Tropical Storm Barry possibly in our region by Thursday.
