Teens face felony arson charges in Germantown fire
GERMANTOWN, Md. - Two 13-year-olds face felony arson charges in connection with a Germantown house fire that caused an estimated $400,000 in damages.
The fire happened on October 28 around 4:45 p.m. at a home in the 17800 block of Falconcrest Circle, starting in the rear of the structure. Fire officials said there was a young boy inside the house when the fire was set, but the child was not hurt. Three firefighters who were injured are recovering.
After their arrest on Thursday, the teenagers were released into the custody of their parents. There is no word on a motive.
