Surveillance video captures brazen shooting in Southeast DC

Police have released surveillance video of a man opening fire on a D.C. street in a shooting that left two people hospitalized with gunshot wounds.

The brazen attack happened on Thursday, March 14 just before 9 p.m. in the 2400 block of Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue in the Southeast.

In the video a man in a dark shirt can be seen getting out of the rear passenger's side of a dark colored vehicle and opening fire while a passerby ducks for cover. After firing what appears to be several gunshots, the man gets back into the car and fled.

Police say two men were shot and were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police are offering a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 202-727-9099 or text 50411.
