Stafford gas station shooting leaves 1 dead, 1 in critical condition

STAFFORD COUNTY, Va. (FOX 5 DC) - A shooting at a Stafford County gas station left one person dead and another in critical condition Wednesday night, according to the sheriff's office.

Deputies responded to the scene outside the 5 Twelve Gas Station on Garrisonville Road around 10:15 p.m.

When they arrived, they found both victims unresponsive.

An 18-year-old, Laura Guadalupe Gomez-De La Cruz, was taken to a local hospital.

A male who was also found at the scene was pronounced dead. His identity has not been released.

A witness told police that they say a dark colored sedan speeding out of the lot and heading east on Garrison Road.
