Service restored to Virginia Square-GMU Metro after reports of smoke in tunnel
ARLINGTON, Va. - A Metro station in Arlington is back open after smoke in a tunnel caused evacuations and delays Thursday morning.
The smoke was reported around 6:20 a.m. in the Virginia Square-GMU Metro station. The station was quickly evacuated and closed for a short time. Trains bypassed the stop and buses were set up to transport passengers to nearby stations.
No injuries were reported.
