Search resumes for kayaker who capsized in Severn River
ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Authorities have resumed the search for a missing kayaker who capsized Wednesday in the Severn River north of Annapolis.
The incident was reported late Wednesday afternoon when police say 21-year-old Jose Loza Ramirez and a second person fell from their kayaks into the water in an area of the river near Chase Creek.
Ramirez was not believed to be wearing a life-jacket when he fell into the water. The second person was located and is in stable condition at Anne Arundel County Medical Center.
The initial search was suspended around 9 p.m. Wednesday and picked back up around 7 a.m. Thursday.
