Search for suspect who escaped custody after receiving treatment at hospital in DC, police say

Authorities are searching for a suspect they say escaped from police custody after receiving treatment at a hospital in Northwest, D.C.

Officers are looking for Eric Corteze McNair who fled police after leaving Howard University Hospital in the 2000 block of Georgia Avenue on Thursday, June 13.

McNair is described by police as a 36-year-old black male with a light complexion. He is 5-feet-11-inches tall, 180 pounds with black hair and a beard.

Police say he was wearing a white shirt with red lettering on the back, black shorts, and no shoes when he disappeared. They say he was last seen getting into a newer model black Hyundai SUV in the area of 9th and S Streets in the Northwest.
