Snow flurries possible Tuesday as bitter cold sets in
A Cold Weather Advisory remains in effect until 10 a.m. Thursday for Washington, D.C., and portions of Maryland, and northern Virginia as a blast of arctic air settles into the region. Bitter cold wind chills between zero and 10 degrees below are expected. FOX 5’s Taylor Grenda says there is a chance of flurries on Tuesday and a slight chance of snow showers before midnight.
Sunday night's snowfall, combined with freezing conditions, continues to disrupt commutes to schools across the D.C. region.
Officials report that many roads remain icy and hazardous Tuesday evening, prompting schools to announce delays and closures for Wednesday morning.
