DMV school districts reopening Wednesday

Schools across Maryland and Virginia are set to reopen Wednesday after some students went nearly a week without classes. The extended break followed last month’s winter storm, which dropped five to 12 inches of snow across the region and left many neighborhood roads unplowed or coated in ice.

School districts across the Washington, D.C. region are still dealing with lingering ice and snow after last month’s first major storm of the season. Many districts shut down for several days, and some are still operating on delayed schedules as crews work to clear neighborhood roads and school campuses.
