Rock Creek Park gets cleanup for National Public Lands Day

One of the largest urban parks in the nation got some TLC on Saturday.

Volunteers flocked to Rock Creek Park for National Public Lands Day. It's the largest single-day volunteer effort for national parks across the country.

The work here involved the removal of invasive plants, planting new shrubs and picking up trash. More than 100,000 volunteers are expected to clean up public lands across the U.S. today.
