Rain moves out, heat moves in Tuesday; temps in the 90s through the weekend

Heavy early morning rain has moved out and sunshine is expected to move in as temperatures heat up around the D.C. region! FOX 5's Mike Thomas says clouds will give way to sun as we move into the afternoon. We could see temperatures reach 90 degrees on Tuesday with dry, less humid, air.

The hot temperature trend continues as the week moves forward with a hot and sunny Tuesday and temperatures near 93 degrees. An even hotter and more humid day on Thursday, Mike says with Friday's temperatures reaching into the mid to upper 90s with a shower possible.

Sun and temperatures in the 90s over the weekend with the possibility of showers on both Saturday and Sunday.
