Prince William County hit-and-run crash leaves 1 dead, Virginia State Police say

One person was killed in a hit-and-run crash on Interstate 95 in Prince William County late Sunday evening, according to police.

Virginia State Police said the crash happened on northbound Interstate 95 near exit 152 in Dumfries, Virginia at about 11:10 p.m.

Authorities said the at-fault vehicle, described as a dark-colored vehicle by witnesses, fled the scene by taking the ramp for Exit 152B.

Investigators said the suspect's vehicle may have damage to the driver's side. Officials said their investigation into the crash was ongoing. The identity of the victim has not been released by officials.
