Prince William County cops looking for thieves after smash-and-grab break-ins

The search is on for at least two suspects in Northern Virginia who police say are behind several burglaries -- a laundromat, Chinese restaurant and animal hospital were all hit within 48 hours.

The smash and grabs at the Coin Laundry and the Hunan D’Lite restaurant were happening at the same time last Wednesday morning.

FOX 5’s Tisha Lewis reports both businesses now have new doors and security systems after thieves shattered the glass to get in.

In fact, FOX 5 obtained pictures showing shattered glass, broken doors and mayhem.

The Hunan D’Lite restaurant is one of three businesses burglarized between last Wednesday and Friday.

The Coin Laundry was also hit.

FOX 5 has learned cash and lottery tickets were stolen.

Two days later, police responded to the Occoquan Animal Hospital to investigate an alarm activation. When officers arrived they reportedly saw the glass panel on the front door broken and lights out inside the business. Money was also taken.

Police are searching for two men last seen wearing hooded jackets and gloves.

Police are also urging business owners to store all cash in a steel safe, install security systems and, while you’re at it, install surveillance cameras as well.
