Prince George's County State's Attorney Angela Alsobrooks to run for County Executive
UPPER MARLBORO, Md. - Prince George's County State's Attorney Angela Alsobrooks plans to announce her candidacy for County Executive Monday.
On her Facebook page, Alsobrooks posted:
"It has been a tremendous honor to serve the community that raised me over the last 20 years. As the first full time domestic violence prosecutor hired in 1997, education liaison, Executive director of the Prince George's County Revenue Authority and your elected State's Attorney, I have worked to deliver results to our residents. I humbly ask for your support and trust once again as I seek to serve as your next County Executive."
Her announcement is expected in Camp Springs on Monday, July 31st at 10 a.m.
Alsobrooks has been involved in many high profiles case including the killing of a Bowie State University student, the deadly ambush shooting of a Prince George's County police officer, and the shocking murder of a woman and her 2-year-old in Fort Washington.
