Pregnant woman stabbed in Rockville, officials say
ROCKVILLE, Md. - Police are investigating the stabbing of an 18-year-old pregnant woman at an apartment complex in Rockville.
Rockville police say the stabbing took place in the 1000 block of Rockville Pike at around 5 p.m. Friday. The victim, who was home alone, suffered a superficial wound in her abdomen after she answered a knock at the door by the attacker.
She was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Her unborn child was not believed to be injured, according to police.
The attacker fled the scene before police arrived, according to officials.
Police say the female suspect was dressed in all-black and was wearing a ski mask and gloves. However, investigators were unable to locate any witnesses of the stabbing.
