Police: Video shows persons of interest in deadly Northeast DC hit-and-run

Police have released video of two persons of interest they say may be connected to a deadly hit-and-run that happened earlier this year in the District.

Officers say a woman was killed and another was seriously injured in the August 30 incident that happened along Kenilworth Avenue at Eastern Avenue in the Northeast.

Diane Beckett and Sherron Pressley were walking through a crosswalk near that intersection when a driver allegedly ran a red light and struck the two of them, police say. The car briefly stopped and then continued south on Kenilworth Avenue.

Pressley died from her injuries and Beckett was seriously hurt.

Officers have released video from a nearby surveillance camera that captured who they are calling persons of interest.
