Police searching for missing 59-year-old Kensington woman who didn't return to group home

Montgomery County police are asking for the public's help to find a missing woman from Kensington.

Police say they are searching for 59-year-old Claudette Reid, who was last seen by staff members at her group home on Plyers Mill Road last Friday at around 6:45 a.m. when she left in a cab to run errands in Washington D.C.

Reid was scheduled to return to the group home on Sunday and staff officially reported her missing Wednesday afternoon, according to police.

Reid is described as a black female standing 5'7" tall and weighing 175 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes. Police and her caretakers are worried her welfare as she does not currently have her medication with her.

Anyone with information about Reid is asked to call Montgomery County Police's non-emergency number at 301-279-8000.
