Police search for suspect after man shot near shopping center in Frederick

FREDERICK, Md. (FOX 5 DC) - Police are searching for a person they say shot a man Wednesday night in Frederick, Maryland.

Officers say gunfire was reported around 8:42 p.m. in the 1100 block of Key Parkway. When police arrived they found a man they say was shot multiple times in the upper body near a shopping center. The was hospitalized and is currently in critical condition.

A portion of Key Parkway was closed for several hours.

Investigators say the shooting was an isolated incident. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 240-674-7119.
