Police: Rapper NBA YoungBoy, woman arrested in Atlanta
ATLANTA (FOX 5 Atlanta) - Police said rapper NBA YoungBoy and a woman were arrested Monday afternoon for assaulting a hotel employee.
It happened at the Hyatt House located at 431 Marietta Street in downtown Atlanta. Atlanta Police said they were called to the hotel for a fight call.
Police said it started when the housekeeper, believing no one was inside and not hearing a response to knocks, entered the room to clean. Police said NBA YoungBoy, whose name is really Kentrell Gaulden, told Starr Thigpen to get the staff out of the room.
Investigators said Thigpen struck on the housekeepers in the face. The altercation continued into the hallway before police said the employee was able to run downstairs.
Gaulden and Thigpen were outside in the hallway when police arrived. Police said both were charged with multiple counts of disorderly conduct and marijuana possession.
Both were booked in the Atlanta City Jail.
