Police investigating possible human remains near school in Loudoun County

STERLING, Va. - Officials in Loudoun County say they're investigating "possible" skeletal remains in Sterling.

Loudoun County Sheriff's Office says a deputy was on foot patrol in a wooded area near West Church Road and North Aspen Avenue, not far from Sterling Elementary School when they came upon the remains.

Investigators say the Medical Examiner's Office is assisting in the investigation to determine the origin of the remains.
