Police identify body found dead on roadway in Brandywine

Prince George's County police have identified a man who was found dead on the roadway in a residential neighborhood in Brandywine Monday afternoon.

The victim has been identified as 22-year-old Ra' Shaad Hargrave of Streamview Drive in Waldorf.

Police said they responded to a call at around 1:50 p.m. and located the shooting victim in the 15100 block of General Lafayette Boulevard approaching a dead end and nearby a wooded area.

Police said they are investigating Hargrave's death as a homicide. Detectives do not believe this was a random crime.

"Right now, detectives are looking at all possibilities to determine exactly what happened here," said Prince George's County police spokesperson Harry Bond. "It's an ongoing investigation and our detectives are looking into every scenario possible right now."

Some residents in the neighborhood told FOX 5 they did not hear any gunshots coming from the crime scene.

Police is offering a $25,000 reward for information that will lead to an arrest in this shooting.
