Police: 3 arrested after vehicle crashes in Northeast DC
WASHINGTON - Investigators say a vehicle struck a police cruiser before crashing into a parked car overnight during an incident believed to have started during a traffic stop in Northeast D.C.
The traffic stop was reported at 11:59 p.m. Monday in the 500 block of Douglas Street. Officers say the vehicle being stopped fled and struck a cruiser in the process.
Police have not confirmed a pursuit happened but did say the vehicle crashed into a parked car along the 1800 block of Michigan Avenue.
Officers say three arrests were made and a gun was recovered at the scene.
No officers were injured. It is not clear if any of those arrested were injured.
The incident is still under investigation at this time.
