Authorities are investigating after a person was found dead inside a vehicle that was stopped in the middle of a Rockville intersection.
ROCKVILLE, Md. - A man and woman were found dead early Tuesday morning in two separate locations in Rockville, prompting a double homicide investigation that led to the arrest of a suspect.

What we know:
According to the department, the case unfolded around 3:16 a.m. when a Montgomery County police officer, on routine patrol, spotted a white BMW stopped in the middle of the intersection at Shady Grove Road and Research Boulevard.
Upon investigation, officers discovered a man dead inside the car and found bullet holes on the vehicle's exterior.

Hours later, at approximately 7:40 a.m., Rockville City police responded to a separate scene at 2 Research Court after receiving a report of a dead person in a parking lot. Officers arrived to find a woman with apparent gunshot wounds, along with shell casings nearby.
Detectives determined that the two deaths were connected and identified 25-year-old Kaloyan Dimov Stoev as the suspect in both homicides. Stoev, whose address is currently unknown, was located and taken into custody in Rockville around noon, police said.
The victims' bodies have been transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for autopsies to confirm the official cause and manner of death.
