Person dead after being struck by train near Fort Totten Metro Station

WASHINGTON (FOX 5 DC) - A person is dead after they were struck by a train in the vicinity of the Fort Totten Metro Station Thursday night.

DC Fire & EMS officials say all passengers on the train at the time were assisted to the platform in a closely coordinated effort with the Metro Transit police and Metro.

Red Line service is suspended between Rhode Island Avenue and Silver Spring during the investigation.
