OLD SCHOOL VS. NEW SCHOOL: DC officer takes on resident in dance challenge

One of D.C. police's best dancers is back at it again showing off her moves at a community event held in Northeast D.C. Friday afternoon.

A FOX 5 photographer captured D.C. Police Officer Ashley Keels having a dance-off with an older resident on the street in the Deanwood neighborhood of the city. They both danced to Ghost Town DJ's "My Boo," the 1996 song recently popularized again thanks to the Running Man Challenge craze on social media.

Keels was taking part in "Beat The Streets," a block party event in which the D.C. Police Department teams up with local partners to come together with the community "to dispel violence, improve community relations and encourage citizens to live peacefully." Several of these events are being held in different neighborhoods of D.C. throughout the summer.

Last November, Officer Keels' smooth dance moves went viral after a Twitter video captured her participating in a dance challenge with children at a holiday event held by former Washington Redskins running back Clinton Portis.
