Multiple vehicle crashes cause morning delays on Interstate-295 in DC

WASHINGTON (FOX 5 DC) - Police say multiple vehicles are involved in a morning crash in the District.

The crash happened around 5:30 a.m. on southbound Interstate-295 just before Suitland Parkway. Several lanes of southbound Interstate 295 were closed. As many as seven vehicles may have been involved.

The cause of the incident is still under investigation.
