Multiple rescues, dozens displaced after 3-alarm fire breaks out at apartment in Bailey's Crossroads

Dozens of residents of an apartment complex in Bailey's Crossroads are out of their homes after an early morning 3-alarm fire tore through their building. The fire was reported at the apartment complex on Carlin Springs Road around 5 a.m. Thursday morning.

The blaze quickly spread to three alarms. Fire officials say as many as eight residents were pulled from the building's balconies. At least 50 residents were forced from their apartment units. Crews are proving emergency shelter for those with places to go.

It is unclear if any serious injuries were reported. There is no word on what started the fire.
