MPD: Two DC school administrators injured in shooting
WASHINGTON - Two D.C. Public Schools administrators were victims of a shooting that happened Monday night, a spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police Department tells FOX 5.
Police say a man and a woman were victims of the shooting, which happened along Eaton Road SE around 7:30 p.m. Both victims were transported to a local hospital, and were conscious and breathing at the time.
The victims are employees of Roosevelt STAY and Ballou STAY, D.C. Public Schools in a statement.
"The DC Public Schools community is shocked and saddened by the violence against our administrators and are hoping for a swift recovery of our colleagues. We continue to work with MPD in the ongoing investigation," the school system said in a statement.
D.C. police said Wednesday that they're asking for help from the public in locating the suspect, 23-year-old Justin Headspeth. He faces a charge of assault with intent to kill. Headspeth is described as a black male who is approximately 5'6" tall and weighs about 160 pounds.
