Montgomery County school teacher dies in single-car crash in Olney

Police are investigating after a 38-year-old man who worked for Montgomery County Schools died in a single-car crash in Montgomery County early Sunday morning.

Montgomery County police say at around 2:45 a.m. Sunday, police and fire responded to Bowie Mill Road near Cashell Road in Olney for reports of a serious crash.

Officials say the driver, now identified as Bradley Nolan Watts, of the 18700 block of Olney Mill Road in Olney died after his car and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Montgomery County officials say Watts was a county school teacher at the central office in the Interim Instructional Services Department.

Investigators say Watts was in a 2007 Toyota Corolla going northbound on Bowie Mill Road toward Cashell Road, when for reasons still under investigation, the car left the roadway and struck a utility pole.
