Missing Md. men with special needs located in DC
GAITHERSBURG, Md. - UPDATE: Montgomery County police say Jeffrey Ratnofsky and Jacob Whetzel have been located safe and unharmed in Washington D.C. and have been returned home.
Montgomery County police are searching for two missing men with special needs last seen Thursday morning in Gaithersburg.
Jeffrey Peter Ratnofsky, 34, of Darnestown, and Jacob Whetzel, 44, of Gaithersburg, were last seen at the Bowl America bowling alley on Clopper Road at around 11 a.m.
They were taking part in an organized field trip at the bowling alley and did not get on the bus to return home, according to police.
Police say both men function on an 8-year-old level.
Ratnofsky is described as a white male with black hair and brown eyes. He is 5'7" tall and weighs 215 pounds. He was last seen wearing black sweatpants, a black fleece jacket and dark brown shoes.
Whetzel is described as a white male with gray hair and blue eyes. He is 5'4" tall with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a gray and blue striped t-shirt and tennis shoes.
Police say both men are known to frequent the IHOP and Golden Bull restaurants in Gaithersburg as well as Metro stations.
