Missing high school student from Frederick County found safe

UPDATE: Jackson Shipley has been found safe, according to the Frederick County Sheriff's Office.

The Frederick County Sheriff's Office is searching for a missing high school student from Frederick County.

Officials say 16-year-old Jackson Fraser Shipley, a student at Urbana High School, is an endangered runaway who was last seen at his school Monday morning.

According to officials, Shipley has withdrawn $400 and took his home computer, toothbrush and some clothing since last being seen. His phone has also been turned off since then as well.

"Jackson does not have any associates and this is out of character for him," the sheriff's office posted on its Facebook page.

The teenager is believed to be driving a black 2011 four-door Toyota Corolla with Maryland tags 2DH0500.

Shipley was last seen wearing a blue American Eagle shirt, gray Under Armour shorts, black socks and black Nike sneakers. He is described as a white male, 5-feet-6-inches tall, with brown hair and blue eyes.

If you have any information about Shipley's whereabouts, you are asked to call Det. Stephanie Kelley at 301-600-2547 or the sheriff's office main line at 301-600-1046.
