Metro's 3000-series cars cleared to return to service after reports of door malfunction

WASHINGTON (FOX 5 DC) - Metro officials say their 3000-series cars have been cleared to return to service Wednesday.

On Tuesday the transit agency temporarily removed those cars from service after they received reports over the weekend of a door malfunction.

Officials say the cause of the door malfunction has been identified and the 3000-series cars have been inspected.
